
Dell rolls out the highly-anticipated all-in-one XPS One 24 desktop PC in the UK for a good cause. Yes, the desktop PC will be available for sale under the Product (Red) banner to contribute in the noble fight against HIV/AIDS in Africa. The company is expected to donate a part of the earned income from the sale of the desktop PC in Africa to combat AIDS. Moreover, Dell also plans to give about £40 per computer to the Global Fund.
Coming to the features, the Dell XPS One 24 is powered either by the Intel Core 2 Duo or Core 2 Quad processor and bundles the 512 MB Nvidia GeForce 9600M GT graphics, either a 320 GB or 500 GB hard disk drive, a 24-inch HD display, an integrated JBL stereo speakers with a subwoofer, DVR and HTDV functionality.
Unblemished in a grey finish with an attractive smoked-glass base, the Dell desktop PC also features an optional Blu-ray drive, 2 GB memory, a GeForce 9600GT video card with a Slot DVD Burner and a Hybrid TV Tuner with remote. Running on the Windows Vista Home Premium operating system, the XPS One 24 has incorporated Wireless, Bluetooth and Firewire capabilities. The computing device will also pack a wireless keyboard and a dedicated touchpad.
The Dell XPS One 24 desktop PC with Core 2 Duo is currently available for £1399 (approx. Rs. 100,455), whereas the Dell XPS One 24 with Intel Core 2 Quad costs £1,849 (approx. Rs. 132,770). Both the versions come with a 1-year extended warranty.
