IT researchers weave "flexible camera" out of fiber web
We’ve see liquid camera lenses and cameras shaped like an eye, but a group of researchers from MIT’s Department of Materials Science and Engineering are now taking things in yet another shape-shifting direction with a so-called “flexible camera” that uses a special fiber web instead of traditional lenses. Those fibers are each less than one millimeter in diameter, and are comprised of eight nested layers of light-detecting materials, which the researchers are able to form using an extrusion process like that used to make optical fiber for More »

OS X Runs (Poorly, We Admit) on Sony Vaio P

Well, looks like it is possible to run OS X on Sony’s teeny Vaio P netbook, but it’s no perfect Dell Mini 9 hackintosh. It looks like a difficult and imperfect crack, yet it still somehow runs better than Vista. More »

2 Methods - How to Post RSS Feed on your WordPress Blog

Recently I was working on a project to create a mashup website and for the first time faced the need to post RSS feeds from other websites on one place. Firstly I thought I would do the coding myself but after some research I knew that WordPress in itself includes some functions (wp_rss() & fetch_rss()) which make your task easier More »

Fedora 11 packs a next-gen file system, faster boot times, all the joys and pitfalls of Linux

Fedora 11 packs a next-gen file system, faster boot times, all the joys and pitfalls of Linux
It is more secure operating System :
Linux just gets sexier and sexier, and Fedora 11 just joined Ubuntu 9.04 in the ranks of super modern Linux distros released this year. Fedora doesn’t have all the desktop refinements of Ubuntu, or the wild popularity, but it does act as the underpinnings of Intel’s Moblin, and the Sugar OS, and doesn’t shy away from the future. Fedora 11 makes the bleeding edge ext4 filesystem the default for installs, which speeds performance and improves data integrity — Ubuntu offers ext4 as an option, but some application incompatibilities have caused data loss More »

Palm Pre Disassembled, Cost Estimated at $170

Palm Pre Disassembled, Cost Estimated at $170

You know the deal—as fast as companies can churn out gorgeous, functional gadgetry, nerds worldwide are waiting in the shadows to tear them apart. The Palm Pre barely survived the night before being torn up.

It looks like a reasonably painless disassemble job, at least at first, though they don’t recommend removing the heat shield. Once all the parts were arranged on a table, the guys at Rapid Repair estimated the hardware cost of the Pre at just about $170, which makes the smartphone’s $199 price tag a pretty good deal for us consumers. Go check it out if you like seeing your gadgets unadorned and forcefully stripped. [Rapid Repair]

Indian Rupee Trend to Strengthen until July 2009 – Currencies Surge on Stock Fund Inflows, Dollar’s Slump

June 3rd, 2009 | No Comments | Posted in Tips & Tricks

May 23 — Asian currencies rose, with India’s rupee posting its best week in more than a decade, as global investors piled into emerging-market equities and the dollar slumped on concern the U.S. will lose its top credit rating.

The Bloomberg-JPMorgan Asia Dollar Index, which tracks the 10 most-active regional currencies against the greenback, climbed to the highest level in more than four months yesterday. Standard & Poor’s lowered its outlook on the U.K.’s AAA rating to negative this week because of rising debt levels, while Bill Gross at Pacific Investment Management Co. said the U.S. may “eventually” have to forfeit its top grade.

“Asian currencies are strong as market participants focus on a possible downgrade of the U.S. sovereign,” said Jerry Yoshikoshi, a senior analyst with the treasury unit of Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corp. in Singapore. “But risk aversion is likely to pick up again, which in turn may weigh on Asian currencies.” More »

How to bypass megavideo time limit

January 4th, 2009 | No Comments | Posted in Tips & Tricks

There are  2 ways, which i know how to:

Either;

  • When the video starts to play, pause it, wait till it is Fully loaded, disconnect from your internet, Then watch it all. :)

OR

  • Watch the video until the ’72 Min limit’ has appeared, (If you have a router!):
Go to: 192.168.2.5 in your internet browser, Then enter your password (if there is one), then there should be ‘discconect’ somewhere, Press it and you’ll be dissconnected from the internet, then press ‘connect’ and you’ll be assigned a new ip. Then just click where you where previously, and watch the end.

The second one might only work if you have a changing ip (Static i think), but try it anyway.

The FIRST option will ALLWAYS work

This might be helpful for people that don’t know :)

How to Find Fake/Duplicate Mobile Phone Handsets

December 9th, 2008 | No Comments | Posted in Mobile Phone, Tips & Tricks

Every month in India there are around a million mobile phone handsets are sold which are completely fake and this leads to around 5000 crore of business loss for handset manufacturers like Nokia, Sony & Samsung. You can just calculate the amount of total business loss if there are 10 lakh fake handsets sold every month. Not only about the loss in sales by these major handset companies but another problem would be use of these fake handsets by terrorists and making it hard for the crime department to track them down.

These Fake handsets completely have the same looks like the real ones but here are some of things which may/are missing.
